Y'know, I got some flak regarding the color of the girl's shirt in the first Kung-Fu Dinner strip. Apparently, most females wouldn't wear a pink shirt with a red bag. My ultimate explanation, that the color of the bag and the color of the shirt were decided upon independently of each other and had more to do with contrasting the background than anything else apparently didn't fly. I thought, of course, that this would be a good joke to play on for the final strip... except that I already knew what the punchline of the final strip would be.
Fortunately, I'm okay with having multiple layers of jokes in "Olympus Mans."
